CitiTasker Guarantee — Terms & Conditions

The CitiTasker Guarantee Program is designed to provide confidence and peace of mind to users of the CitiTasker platform. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, eligible users may receive compensation under the following protections:
- Money Back Guarantee – Up to ₦100,000 per eligible claim.
- Property Damage Guarantee – Up to ₦200,000 per eligible claim.
These guarantees are provided solely at CitiTasker’s discretion and are subject to verification, investigation, and compliance with all eligibility requirements outlined below.
1. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms:
- Client means a person or organization that hires a Tasker through the CitiTasker platform.
- Tasker means a service provider registered on CitiTasker.
- Task means a service booked and paid for through the CitiTasker platform.
- Claimant means a Client seeking compensation under the CitiTasker Guarantee.
- Guarantee refers to the Money Back Guarantee and/or Property Damage Guarantee.
- Platform means the CitiTasker website, mobile application, and related services.
2. Money Back Guarantee
2.1 Coverage
The CitiTasker Money Back Guarantee provides reimbursement of up to ₦100,000 where:
- A Client pays for a Task through CitiTasker.
- The Tasker fails to commence or complete the agreed Task.
- The Tasker abandons the Task without reasonable justification.
- The service delivered is materially different from the service agreed and the issue cannot be reasonably remedied.
2.2 Maximum Coverage
The maximum payout under the Money Back Guarantee shall be the lesser of:
- The amount paid for the Task; or
- ₦100,000.
2.3 Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, the Client must:
- Have booked the Task through CitiTasker.
- Have paid through CitiTasker or possess verifiable proof of payment linked to the Task.
- Submit a claim within seven (7) days of the scheduled completion date.
- Provide evidence reasonably requested by CitiTasker.
2.4 Exclusions
The Money Back Guarantee does not apply where:
- The Client cancels the Task.
- The Task was completed substantially as agreed.
- The dispute relates only to subjective preferences or dissatisfaction.
- The Client and Tasker entered separate arrangements outside CitiTasker.
- Payment was made entirely outside the CitiTasker platform and cannot be verified.
- The Client prevents completion of the Task.
- Delays occur due to force majeure events.
2.5 Investigation
CitiTasker may:
- Review messages, job details, photos, videos, and other records.
- Interview both parties.
- Request additional documentation.
CitiTasker’s determination shall be final.
3. Property Damage Guarantee
3.1 Coverage
The CitiTasker Property Damage Guarantee provides compensation of up to ₦200,000 where a Tasker causes direct physical damage to a Client’s property while performing an approved Task booked through CitiTasker.
3.2 Maximum Coverage
The maximum payout under the Property Damage Guarantee shall be the lesser of:
- The verified repair or replacement cost; or
- ₦200,000.
3.3 Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, the Client must:
- Have booked the Task through CitiTasker.
- Report the damage within forty-eight (48) hours of discovering it.
- Submit clear evidence of the damage.
- Cooperate fully with CitiTasker’s investigation.
- Provide repair estimates, receipts, invoices, photographs, videos, or other evidence as requested.
3.4 Covered Damages
Examples of covered damages may include:
- Broken furniture.
- Damaged household appliances.
- Damaged electronics.
- Damage to walls, doors, windows, or fixtures.
- Accidental damage caused during Task performance.
Coverage applies only to direct physical damage caused by the Tasker during the Task.
3.5 Exclusions
The Property Damage Guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect functionality.
- Pre-existing damage.
- Cash, jewelry, collectibles, antiques, or precious metals.
- Vehicles, motorcycles, boats, or aircraft.
- Business interruption losses.
- Loss of profits or income.
- Emotional distress.
- Personal injury or death.
- Damage resulting from defective materials supplied by the Client.
- Damage caused by natural disasters or force majeure events.
- Damage arising from illegal activities.
3.6 Repair or Replacement
CitiTasker may, at its discretion:
- Pay for repairs;
- Reimburse repair costs;
- Replace damaged items; or
- Offer a cash settlement up to the applicable coverage limit.
4. Claim Submission Process
To submit a claim, the Client must:
- Contact CitiTasker Support.
- Provide the Task ID.
- Describe the incident.
- Submit all requested evidence.
- Cooperate with any investigation.
Incomplete claims may be rejected.
5. Fraud and Misrepresentation
Claims involving:
- False statements;
- Fabricated evidence;
- Misrepresentation;
- Fraudulent conduct; or
- Collusion between parties
shall be denied immediately.
CitiTasker reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts involved in fraudulent claims and may pursue legal action where appropriate.
6. Limitation of Liability
The CitiTasker Guarantee is not insurance and should not be interpreted as an insurance policy.
The maximum liability of CitiTasker under:
- The Money Back Guarantee is ₦100,000 per claim.
- The Property Damage Guarantee is ₦200,000 per claim.
Under no circumstances shall CitiTasker be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special damages.
7. Right to Modify or Terminate
CitiTasker reserves the right to:
- Amend these Terms and Conditions;
- Modify coverage limits;
- Suspend or terminate the Guarantee Program;
at any time without prior notice, subject to applicable law.
8. Final Decision
All claim determinations made by CitiTasker after investigation are final and binding.
Participation in the CitiTasker platform constitutes acceptance of these Guarantee Terms and Conditions.
